I'm starting a blog again. I like the illusion that I'm famous and people WANT to read all about me! haha! Like my life is that exciting! I mean what could possibly happen in small town Alberta that is worth writing about? I remember when we fist moved here, Kyle and Zach brought home a dead, flattened snake. I was told by the neighborhood kids that there are in fact a lot of snakes (tiny ones) in the area. Bull! I've been here for two and a half years already. I have not seen a single snake. Skunks, yeah. Maybe even a wolf or a cayote or two, but never a snake. I was so worried too when they first told me that. Thinking to myself, what have we gotten ourselves into? I can't believe I was tricked by a couple of ten year olds. Also, remember that one Christmas Will and I drove for hours looking for a Christmas tree to cut since he said " We're in the country now, we don't buy Christmas trees from the store, we cut our OWN Christmas tree!" Yeah, we ended up going to Home Depot to buy a $30.00 tree since apparently, all the nice trees are IN somebody else's yards. But now, if you're nice, I can tell you exactly where to go to cut your own Christmas tree. We still buy ours at the store, I'm just saying, I know where to GET them now. I was excited and a little apprehensive when we first moved here, to a small town with only 65 residents (nope, not a typo. I counted, it's 65!) I live and breathe the city. It's funny how the things you're used to all your life, in just a few months become just a shadow of what you used to be. I love living here now. Sure I still miss the conveniences of the city, but Ebay and online shopping are our savior, my friends.
So here's my life, I'm a city girl countryfied...
